At Openwave, Satish lead the team that partnered with Cisco to produce the first VxML-based voice browser as well as the industrys first MMS server. Satish came to Openwave as part of the founding team at the unified messaging company Onebox, where he led engineering and network operations, and was instrumental in the sale of Onebox to Phone.com for $850M. Prior to Onebox, Satish was at Sun Microsystems JavaSoft Division from 1995 through 1998 where he was responsible for the conception, design and implementation of Java Server Pages (JSPs) which he introduced to the Java community at the JavaOne conference in 1998; in addition, he led the team that created the Java Server Framework which was licensed to IBM to form the core of the WebSphere product. From 1999 to 2000 Mr. Petrone served as Chief Information Officer of Della & James, Inc. where he was responsible for all software development, systems integration and technical operations. He was also executive vice president and Chief Technology Officer of Preview Travel, Inc. from 1995 to 1999, spearheading all technology activities for the online travel company. Prior to Preview, he held senior tech positions with Oracle, Lotus Consulting, Price Waterhouse and Andersen Consulting. Mr. Petrone attended the University of Maryland where he received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. Mr. Petrone is also a graduate of the Executive Education Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. |

He served as the Vice President and General Manager of Security & Technology Business Unit at Cisco. Mr. Weiss served as the Chief Executive Officer, Vice President and General Manager of IronPort Systems, Inc., co-founded it in 2000 and serves as a Director at the firm. As a Chief Executive Officer he established the company as the leader in email security and directed the company through its successful acquisition by Cisco. After the acquisition, Mr. Weiss advanced inside Cisco to lead Cisco's Security Technology Business Unit, developing the vision and strategy for integrating reputation-based security into existing products. He was one of the early team members at Hotmail. At the company, Mr. Weiss was responsible for all partnership and revenue generating business development efforts. It was this experience at the company that helped him identify the emerging business opportunity that would later evolve into IronPort Systems. After Hotmails acquisition by Microsoft, Mr. Weiss led a business development team at Microsoft with the MSN division. He left Microsoft to pursue new start-up opportunities. Mr. Weiss developed a concept in the e-commerce space, and pulled together the core team to incubate the idea. In the process of seeking funding for the concept, he met with leaders of the Venture Capital industry, and ultimately resulted in Mr. Weiss joining idealab! as a Managing Director and Entrepreneur in Residence. At the firm he met Mr. Scott Banister, and their combined experience germinated into IronPort. Previously, Mr. Weiss had been a consultant at McKinsey & Co. Mr. Weiss also served at EDS as a Group Manager. He is a Director of Silver Tail Systems, Inc. and has been a Director of Solera Networks, Inc., since September 1, 2009.
