Product Description
Local Dirt is the first nationally integrated platform for buying, selling, and finding local food. The key problem Local Dirt addresses is that most buyers have little access to or knowledge about the food grown within 100 miles of them. Local Dirt creates efficient local markets in one transactional platform used by individuals, businesses, and distributors. Local Dirt builds markets while also building local, regional, and national communities.
Market Opportunity
While agricultural sales top $200 billion, 41% of post-harvest product is written off as spoilage before it reaches the consumer, according to First Research. Local food is the fastest growing segment in the food industry with 22% annual growth.
DEMO Says
Think agrisourcing can only be implemented and managed by conglomerates? Think again. Local Dirt brings the potential of streamlined agrisourcing to the local marketplace, capturing inefficiencies and producing results. The company's platform for mapping, sourcing, and enabling transactions around local food sources will insure that agrimarkets will never be the same.
